You should have seen the look on my 14 year old daughter's face when we took her out to the garage to show her a brand new Razor E300S electric scooter! Although she had put the Razor E300S as #1 on her Christmas gift "wish" list, I don't think she ever expected to really get it as a present.
She even got specific, and had "pink electric scooter" written down on her list. Apparently, a girlfriend from school has a Razor E300S, and she loved that it has a pink cooler. She thinks it looks "cool."
So, my wife finally gave the "thumbs up" on buying an electric scooter, and we started looking around online. We discovered the Razor E300S at Amazon.com, along with many other Razor models. We discovered that their is quite a bit to know about electric scooters. In fact, we hadn't even seen a seated electric scooter, until we ran across the Razor E300S.
Some scooters require a jogging speed "push off" before the motor is engaged. Once a brisk walking speed is acheived, the rider pushes off and hops on! We didn't really like that idea too much.
We also strongly considered the Razor E200 electric scooter, which does not require a "push off", and is plenty big enough for our daughter. It can achieve speeds up to 12 mph, and is quite quiet while running.
The E200 is operated while standing, and our daughter is a bit on the heavy side, ( I can't say "overweight", because she might read these Razor scooter reviews!)so we liked the advantage of being able to sit down while riding.
